Chief Human Resources Officer

As Chief Human Resources Officer, Jackie Ward is responsible for Newport’s overall human resources program, with a focus on developing and executing talent management and employee relations strategies that embody the firm’s culture, mission and values. Under her leadership, the firm’s HR team develops and implements initiatives to enhance the employee experience and maintain an open flow of communication across the organization. Jackie has nearly 20 years of global HR management experience, most recently as vice president of people experience at the software firm Xero. Prior to Xero, she held senior leadership positions in human resources with firms such as Digg, PlanetOut, MarkMonitor, and ThinkHR. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of London. She also holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification.
